PREPARING FOR THE INSTALLATION
Thank you for allowing Squires Lumber & Fence to provide you with a Proposal. Should you select us to complete your project, we ask that you take a few moments to review the following information.
Please note that in order for us to do this work as scheduled, it is necessary that we have a signed copy of the Contract and Proposal on file authorizing the work (3) days prior to the start date. In addition, if you intend to share the costs with your neighbors and wish for them to be invoiced separately, you must get the neighbors signature on the Proposal and Contact and complete “Addendum 1” advising us of the neighbors billing information. If we do not receive both the neighbors’ signature and billing information, you will be sent an invoice for the entire job. If you have already provided these items, thank you!
There are a few things that you and your neighbors can do to make the installation a smooth one, and we ask that you take a minute to review the following and share the information with any neighbors who may be involved in the installation:
Remove anything that might be attached to your existing fence such as thermometers, sprinkler systems, bird feeders, etc.
Move anything that might be near the fence line, which would limit the installer's access such as lawn furniture, firewood, gardening equipment, etc.
Examine the foliage near the fence to determine if it needs to be trimmed back in order to gain access. Although our installers will do trimming as is needed to gain access, it is generally best if the customer takes a few minutes to tend to plants and trees which are of a delicate nature or wildly overgrown. Our installers are fully trained in fence building, and we like to leave the gardening to the experts!
In most cases, we require an electrical power outlet for the installers power tools, such as saws and drills. If you are unable to provide power at the job site, it is important that we be notified so that we can arrange an alternate power source.
We ask that you make arrangements to house any pets, which are normally in the back yard. We do not want to let out any family pets while we are there!
As this is an outdoor project, please be aware that the date(s) scheduled are subject change due to weather conditions such as rains. In the event that a date must be changed, you will be notified.
